Andrew Best obtained his Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and his bachelor’s in psychology and special education from Marist college. Andrew has worked with and in diverse populations and settings. He brings a unique combination of culture and experience from his time in Malaysia on a Fulbright to climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. While on his Fulbright he helped develop music programs by raising funds to purchase instruments, he then helped host several concerts that combined American culture with Malaysian. Andrew is huge advocate for music and its connection to both mental and physical health and has used it to support and connect with his patients at the VA and several other clinical sites. Andrew in his free time is either playing his guitar, rowing, or walking his bulldog.
