AMELIE TSENG

Amelie Tseng is a seasoned communications strategist who specializes in launching new businesses and refreshing brands across multiple platforms and industries, particularly in the entertainment sector. Amelie’s background in the music sector is anchored by her work in the cable television industry, where she has led communications teams at CMT: Country Music Television International, MTV Networks International and, earlier in her career, Request TV where she launched the first ever pay-per-view concert featuring James Brown. Tseng has held executive positions at numerous media companies including Viacom, NBC Universal, CBS Cable, and USA Networks. She has worked across a diverse range of networks including Bravo, Nickelodeon International, ION, TRIO, CBS TeleNoticias, and the Travel Channel. During her tenure at Bravo, Tseng was responsible for the successful launch of nine new series premiering within three months including the Emmy Award – winning/nominated franchises “Project Runway,” “Top Chef,” “The Real Housewives,” and the much talked about docu-soap series “Being Bobby Brown.” Tseng has executive produced live events including the “free movie and a concert” in Bryant Park which screened the “Jazzfest” documentary and a special live performance by Branford Marsalis. While at Travel Channel, she oversaw the publicity for iconic programming including Anthony Bourdain’s “No Reservations,” Andrew Zimmern’s “Bizarre Foods” and the cult-favorite, “Ghost Adventures.”

 

 

Tseng currently runs her own communications consultancy, and recently expanded her media training business and launched Interview Bootcamp, an interview prep service focused on helping high school prep for college interviews and internships, and college grads and career transitioners prep for their job interviews.

 

 

A graduate of Vassar College, Tseng served on the Board of Directors of AAVC, Vassar’s Alumnae Association, as well as on the boards of The Adult School of Montclair and the Human Needs Food Pantry. She is the founder of the Montclair Creative Collective, a NJ based networking group. Tseng pursues her passion for photography and volunteers her time as a photographer for the Montclair Film Festival and the T.J. Martell Foundation. A native New Yorker, Tseng has been a resident of Montclair for 25 years where she has raised her two sons.
