
Meredith Roman Pizzi, MPA, MT-BC, is a nationally recognized leader in music therapy entrepreneurship and a passionate advocate for advancing the profession. She is the Founder of Roman Music Therapy Services, established in 2006, and Co-Founder and CEO of Raising Harmony. In 2009, Meredith created Sprouting Melodies, an award-winning early childhood music program. Through Raising Harmony, she has trained hundreds of professionals to use music therapy strategies with young children, helping expand the reach of music therapy worldwide. Meredith earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from Duquesne University and completed her internship in early intervention and therapeutic preschool settings. She completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) Fellowship through UMass Medical School's Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center, along with a Certificate in Disability and Health Policy and a Master's in Public Administration from Suffolk University. She also completed executive training at Dartmouth College's Tuck School of Business. Meredith served on the AMTA Board of Directors from 2014-2016 and has been an Assembly Delegate for the New England Region of AMTA since 2013. Throughout her career, Meredith has developed sustainable business models for music therapy services, advocated for system-level change, and mentored professionals in both clinical work and business ownership. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and exploring with her husband and three children, and getting lost in a good book.
