David Pappalardo, CIMA®, CAIA, AIF, MSFP

Expertise

Mr. Pappalardo is a Senior Vice President and the Practice Leader for the Advisor Solutions Group in Segal Marco Advisors’ Boston office. He has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry. The Advisor Solutions Group is responsible for providing a full range of consulting services to broker dealers, banks, insurance companies, registered investment advisors, multi-family offices and other intermediaries that serve the private wealth marketplace.


Professional background

David is a Senior Vice President and Principal for Segal Marco Advisors. He is the Practice Leader for the Advisor Solutions Group, which provides investment manager due diligence, asset allocation insights and market intelligence to RIA’s, Broker-Dealers, Multi-Family Offices, Private Banks and other financial intermediaries. The Advisor Solutions Group provides guidance to a diverse client base across North America, Asia and Australia with assets under advisement of approximately $220 billion.  David is responsible for overall practice management, client consulting and business development.

David has been involved in the investment management industry since 1995 and has experience in asset management, wealth management, financial planning and institutional investment consulting. Before joining Segal Marco Advisors in 2012, he was Senior Vice President and Global Relationship Management Leader for GE Asset Management. Prior to GE, David was a Director of Investment Consulting for Rogerscasey. He was also previously an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Amerivest Advisory Corporation and a financial advisor at both Prudential Securities and Oppenheimer & Co.


Education/professional designations

David received a Master of Science degree with high distinction in Financial Planning from the McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from the Investments & Wealth Institute and the CAIA designation from the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. He also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation from the Center of Fiduciary Studies and the CFA Institute’s Certificate in ESG Investing. David is also a frequent conference speaker and an advisory board member of the Boston Investment Professionals.
