Mr. Jones is a Senior Vice President and National Higher Education Industry Leader, based in Segal’s Cleveland office. He has over 40 years of experience in human resources, compensation and employee benefits management. In addition to being the firm’s Higher Education Practice Leader, he is a lead member of Segal’s Total Rewards Strategy Team.

Mr. Jones helps HR leaders in higher education transform their departments into strategic partners on campus. He is an expert in HR strategies and operations and creating high performing teams. He advises clients on issues and topics involving the future of the higher education workforce, business model and value proposition. His background is in healthcare and pharmacy management but he is a regular speaker on the future of Higher Education in America.

Prior to joining Segal, Mr. Jones worked in managed healthcare and pharmacy benefits management.

Education/professional designations

Mr. Jones graduated with a BA in English and Political Science from Miami University in Oxford, OH. He serves as Segal’s National Liaison for the College and University Professionals Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR), the National Association of College & University Business Officers (NACUBO) Mr. Jones is also a Past Chair of the CUPA-HR Corporate Advisory Council and remains a founding member of its board.
