ABSTRACT: The paper takes a neuroscience approach to the effects of music on both mental health and learning. Utilizing fMRI, MRIs, and EGG Dr. Edwards was able to get signficant data and imagiry that help better identify the impact of music and its connection to learning and overall health.The paper also focus on parts of the brain that become highly activated due to the introduction of music. Dr. Edwards focuses on reviewing and creating a “database” of neuromusical reaserch. Dr. Edward calls the founding database Musical Brain Imaging Research Database (MusicBIRD).
